Exhibition Name:

Arctic Voices

Description:
Now touring Asia-Pacific!

Arctic Voices is a 5,000-6,000 sq ft traveling exhibit that takes visitors to the fascinating and changing world of the Arctic, through interactive and artifact-based exhibits and multimedia experiences.

Visitors will explore the impact of the changing climate in the Arctic through many lenses, including the land, sea, and ice. They will connect with the remarkable animals that live there, the resilient people that inhabit this region, and the dedicated scientists who are helping to reveal what makes this place so unique.

Hear their voices and explore life through the eyes of the people and animals who call the Arctic home.

Introductory Experience
Arctic Voices provides visitors with the content and context to explore, and ultimately be inspired to protect this fragile and special region. The challenge of global climate change has gripped public attitudes, and the Polar Regions are "canaries in the climate change coal mine."

My Connection to the Arctic
Learn about historic discoveries, hot button issues and hear from researchers who have called the Arctic their home. Vote on Arctic issues after hearing multiple perspectives.

Arctic Animal Adaptations
Compare yourself to Arctic animals and discover their adaptations for such a harsh environment. Learn about threats facing polar bears in the wild. Enjoy a crawl-in polar bear 'den' with motion-triggered sounds and lights.

Land, Water and Ice
Crawl beneath the 'ice' for a unique vantage point. Observe the beauty of the Undersea Gallery and test your Arctic knowledge with an interactive quiz. Find the answer to the question how big are icebergs? Take a tour of the tenacious Arctic flora, which come alive in the summer months.

Circumpolar Peoples

Witness the many peoples that call this area their home. Through genuine artifacts and artwork, observe their culture and traditions that are unique to the Arctic Peoples.
