Kim Tinnell joined ILE in May 2014. She graduated from the University of Florida in 2011 with her M.A. in Museum Studies with a focus on Art History and Collections Management. She completed internships in Registration at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art. Prior to moving to Denver, Kim worked for a private paper conservation company in Dallas, TX where she preserved historic maps, books, and documents. Kim is currently working toward dual MBA and MS Accounting degrees at the University of Colorado Denver in order to further her understanding of finance, accounting, and management in museums and other nonprofit organizations.
At ILE, Kim manages the Traveling Exhibitions Database and Informal Learning Review subscriptions, assists with the editing of the Informal Learning Review, plans the Traveling Exhibitions Forum at AAM and ASTC each year, and conducts research for ILE's consulting projects.
Outside of museums, Kim enjoys taking advantage of all of the outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer, especially hiking and cross-country skiing.
