Zoom Into Nano traveling exhibition has completed it's tour and is being offered for sale. This engaging 4,000 to 5,000 sq ft interactive exhibition explores nanoscale science, engineering, and technology. The interactive components include; spinning wheels to zoom into tiny structures and devices, building molecular models and giant carbon nanotubes, moving your body to dissolve a crystal and stretch a virtual RNA molecule, and much more! Developed by the Sciencenter in partnership with Cornell University, Zoom Into Nano presents real-world applications of this amazing technology, and serves as an interactive entry point to this small, but highly relevant technology.
**LEARNING GOALS** * Everything on Earth is made up of atoms-from the food we eat, to our bodies. * Something as small as an atom is impossible to see with the naked eye. * Nanotechnology can make materials that have properties like higher strength ir lighter weight.
Audience: Designed for 8-13 year olds and their families.
Partners: Cornell University, Painted Universe, Inc., and funded by NSF.
