Featuring Bugs Bunny, Tweety Bird, The Tasmanian Devil, The Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote, Daffy Duck, Yosemite Sam, Speedy Gonzales and more, the animated cartoons produced by Warner Bros. are universally considered the finest, and most culturally significant, short animations from Hollywood's Golden Age, and the first cartoons for adults. Indeed, this is an expanded version of an exhibition originally mounted by New York's Museum of Modern Art - the first time MoMA ever showed animation art.
Consists of over 160 original drawings, paintings and related production artifacts from the Golden Age of "Looney Tunes" (1935-1955), along with video of the finished films and behind-the-scenes documentaries.
Exhibition has set attendance records in museums throughout the United States.
“Some of the top film artists and pleasure givers of the past half-century… What the front office dismissed as program filler and kid stuff was, in reality, the greatest sustained burst of American movie comedy.” --Time Magazine
