Exhibition Name:

3D: Printing the Future

Description: 3D: Printing the Future introduces audiences to 3D printing technology and its uses for innovations in industry, medicine and the arts. The exhibition reveals how 3D printers inspire creativity and ground-breaking design and engages visitors with videos, animations and tactile objects. There are four sections, each featuring four or five key objects and stories: 1) "Print it" introduces the concept of the exhibition through four types of 3D printing; 2) "Perfect it" focuses on architecture and engineering to show how 3D printing is used by industry to make things that are lighter, more sustainable and less expensive; 3) "Heal it" talks about the uses of 3D printing within medicine, such as creating custom-made implants and possible future applications in treatment and medication delivery; and 4) "Try it" features five stories that introduce how artists, entrepreneurs and small companies are harnessing 3D printing to imagine and create one-of-a-kind objects.
